Executive Chef, Donna Whelden, came to us from Troca Hotel Group where she was the Corporate Executive Chef, overseeing Stonehedge Inn & Spa in Tyngsboro, MA and The Daniel in Brunswick, Maine. In that time, she created seasonal menus using local produce and proteins as often as possible. She is, also, known for her monthly curated wine and beer dinners in which several courses are created to pair with the given wines/beers. Prior to Troca, Donna worked with James Beard award winning chefs Mark Geier and Clark Fraser, as well as doing behind the scenes work with celebrity chef Ming Tsai (Simply Ming) and America’s Test Kitchen. She has done several high profile events, including Martha’s Vineyard Wine Festival, the Life Is Good Festival and the Merrimack Valley WinterFest.
Donna is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Cambridge, MA where she held a 4.0 g.p.a. , was student ambassador for her class, winning several awards. She was nominated for a James Beard award in 2015.
Donna lives in Pelham, NH with her husband, Glen and her daughter, Aubrey.
